1. While Bajofondo is a performance band with many members, Campo and Santaolalla in particular are musicians with visions best realized in the recording studio. Their new album Presente, out March 5, made an impression on me because it shimmers in a way the group's three previous albums hadn't; there's much more dance-floor potential here.

4. I love this album and thought I can share it with him, but, when I called him this Christmas morning to see how he likes his gift, it played loud seannjean rap music!!! The CD that was in it just had a generic label, but it definitely was NOT bajofondo tango club/5(74).

I've been following Bajofondo since its first album Bajofondo Tango Club in Previously they were compared to Gotan Project, but I found Bajofondo continually tries to experiment with different sounds and genres, while still trying to keep its roots. "Presente" is like a complete unified work unto itself.4/5(1).

7. Bajofondo's new album is a return to its roots. Unlike the last album that featured lots of guest musicians, this time around it's just the band. No Mala Rodriguez, no Elvis Costello, no Julieta Venegas. The sound is more traditional and many of the songs are instrumentals. Plenty of violin and bandoneon/5(19).

8. This album is a good addition to a latin music collection, with music inspired by Argentinian/ Uruguayan tango, mixed with modern electronica. The song Mareo is particularly good, with a terrific beat, excellent as a backdrop for a slideshow/5(44).
