Cream had broken up and the record company wanted three more songs for "Goodbye". Clapton contributed "Badge" and Baker contributed "What a Bringdown". What I imagine is Brown making a cup of tea, playing the melody first on a crappy recorder, and then on .

In contrast, the lesser-known Jack Bruce track "Doing That Scrapyard Thing" and Ginger Baker's "What A Bringdown" sound more dated - but both remain very enjoyable listens. I'm a huge Clapton fan but, I must confess, I sometimes find Cream a bit of a challenge due to some of the lengthy live improvisations/5().

Doing That Scrapyard Thing Lyrics: When I was young, they gave me a mongrel piano / Spent all my time inventing the cup of tea / Writing your name in the sea / Banging my fav'rite head / Missing.

CREAM - DOING THAT SCRAPYARD THING (Bruce/Brown). From GOODBYE CREAM album. Released in January, Tabbed by:PJVillanueva This is one of my favourite Cream songs, even with its surrealistic lyrics.

Cream was a s three-piece British band consisting of bassist/lead vocalist Jack Bruce, guitarist/vocalist Eric Clapton, and drummer Ginger Baker, having formed in London, stonescarkagataursharphammer.xyzinfo were known as one of the first great power trios and supergroups of rock.
